Bacardi is honored to partner with Neue Nationalgalerie to pay homage to Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, a truly brilliant architect, as both share a unique history with the famed designer. Mies designed two buildings for Bacardi in Mexico and Cuba. However his plans for the Company's global headquarters in Santiago de Cuba were never built due to the Cuban Revolution. Two similar buildings did emanate from Mies' original design for Bacardi - Neue Nationalgalerie (New National Gallery) in Berlin, Germany in 1968, and the Bacardi building in Bermuda in 1972, now the Company's global headquarters.
