New Jersey’s Shannon McNamara of Basking Ridge Named One of America’s Top Ten Youth Volunteers

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice congratulates Shannon McNamara, 16, of Basking Ridge (center) and Francesca Lanfranchi, 13, of Egg Harbor Township (right) on being named the top two youth volunteers in New Jersey for 2010 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. Shannon and Francesca were honored at a ceremony Sunday night, May 2, at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., where they each received a $1,000 award.
