Palm, Inc.'s new GPS Navigator Car Kit, which includes an integrated GPS and a hands-free speakerphone, lets users get voice-guided, turn-by-turn directions, or keep in touch with friends and family, all the while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel. This device furthers Palm's initiative to support laws enforcing the use of hands-free cell phones while driving, which are coming into place across the country. In August 2006, Palm was the first cell-phone manufacturer to publicly state it would support California's enforcement of this law, set to start in July 2008.
